Personal Preference A larger size frame will be more stable and will give you more room to move without upsetting the weight balance of the bike. The new Switchblade has a slacker head angle, steeper seat angle, increased reach and a longer wheelbase than its predecessor. Size specific chainstays are tucked in and responsive but grow incrementally longer on larger frames. This translates to added stability at warp speeds while still maintaining the snap and pop that is ingrained in the Switchblade’s DNA.

The new Switchblade is light enough to pedal all day, but stout enough to run a Fox 38 without any worries.

FORWARD BIAS POSTURE Give racers the room needed to center them on the bike. 2. FRAME REACH FOR RIPPING Frame reach remains sensibly roomy when running modern short stem lengths, but not ridiculously long to justify a "longer, slacker, lower" claim. 3. SIZE SPECIFIC CHAIN STAYS Chain stay length increases with frame size, ensuring the rear center of the bike is proportionately correct for riders of all sizes (XS-XXL). 4. SIZE SPECIFIC SEAT TUBE ANGLES Riders of all sizes stay in a powerful pedal position with seat tube angles that increase with frame size. This makes the transition from seated to standing easier, especially for taller riders. 5. SLIGHTLY HIGHER STACK A slightly more upright position is more comfortable on big ascents and more capable on big descents. Riders who prefer a more aggressive position can run less stem spacers for a cleaner look.

Fewer pieces mean fewer interfaces, greater rigidity, and a lower chance of something working loose. Additionally, we have created a space in the axel and filled it with a handy 4 key multi-tool which is held securely in place with magnets. Always have the most-used tools close at hand for quick tweaks. INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Occam has our latest, fully internal cable routing, using silicon plugs at the frame entry and exit points and clever conduits linking the front and rear triangle so your cables are fully protected. ASYMMETRICAL DESIGN Instead of using a less-efficient "shock tunnel", the Occam offsets the shock to the left side of the frame, allowing the right-side support to be more central and more efficiently deal with the suspension forces acting on the front triangle. This solution enables us to tune the stiffness of this high-stress area without adding unnecessary weight. THE ASYMMETRIC/OFFSET DESIGN OFFERS UNIQUE ADVANTAGES BEYOND STIFFNESS AND LOW WEIGHT. Avoiding an interrupted seat tube gives more space for dropper posts plus improves access to the shock controls. Additionally, the tidy design leaves room for a water bottle with easy left-side access.
