Yeti struck gold with the SB5. It's possibly the most consistently well-loved bike we've ever had at GBS.
All Yeti bikes use Fox Suspension - This XX1 build includes the flagship 34 Factory Kashima with 150mm of travel.
Maxxis tires are a standard with Yeti. The 2.4" Ardent front and 2.25" Ardent rear are light, fast, and reasonably grippy.
Through careful experimentation, we've found success fitting up to a 2.6" tire on a 30mm rim, front and rear, on the Gen 2 SB5.
Fox's Kashima coated stanchions leave nothing to be desired for smooth, consistent, durable performance.
The SB5 runs a Fox Factory EVOL rear shock - A perfect fit for this bike.
Look closely, and you'll see beautiful details, like the custom etched shock mounting hardware.
Clean, organic lines create a pleasing appearance on the rear triangle, while creating a stiff, light structure.
The XX1 build features a Chris King headset - and the sliding Yeti man reminds you not to take yourself too seriously!
Ergon grips, and guide RSC brakes provide comfortable, adjustable control.
Reach adjust and pad-contact adjust can be done on the fly, with no tools required.
The Fox Transfer dropper post is smooth and reliable. A Kashima coated upgrade could add some extra bling if you were so inclined. Download permissions
Ergon and Yeti are working together to keep your contact points happy, and keeping the colors in line.
The 1x Fox dropper lever is always there when you need some more clearance.
DT Swiss system wheels use their highest-end straight-pull hubs. Oh, and these wheels are hand built right here in Colorado.
The rear hub, and Star Ratchet driver are the best of the best. a super reliable, elegant design, for hassle-free performance. Download permissions
The XMC1200 wheels on this SB5 have an internal rim width of 25mm. A perfect size for 2.4" tires.
The gold (Titanium Nitride) coating on this chain and cassette provides a hard, durable finish to protect your investment.
The XX1 Eagle drivetrain is the lightest, best performing drivetrain currently on the market.
A carbon fiber shift lever reminds you that every detail was considered.
This bike is available at GBS for test rides, and sizes MD-XL are available for demo with X01 kits.
