Santa Cruz Hightower

Unmatched versatility

There’s a reason why this bike is a rising star in the Santa Cruz family of bikes. It bridges the gap between a Tallboy and Bronson quite perfectly. With 29” wheels and a 140mm fork, it slices and dices and rails the turns. With 27.5+ and a 150mm fork it crawls, claws and floats anywhere you can throw it. Two distinctly different characters - one amazing bike.

Rider Feedback

It feels so balanced over the duration of longer rides. The 135mm travel in the back stays active while pedalling but gives just the right amount of support for extended climbs of any kind. On any kind of technical climbing, I just can’t get over how fun it is to motor over crap on this bike! With the 3” plus tires on it, running like 14psi makes you feel unstoppable! Basically, I could, or would never blame this bike for holding me back on the climbs! Steering and seating geometry is dialed for steep climbs, and I feel like it ends up saving a lot of energy compared to some other longer travel bikes would.
All in all, the Hightower is a great choice for someone who rides up, just as much as they ride down, and wants to do so with no huge compromise on either end, and maybe a slight bias toward fun over efficiency.
